Q. Here with Jen and Chris after their final round of the Grant Thornton Invitational. Just take us through the week, guys. Nice fun week to end the season.
JENNIFER KUPCHO: Yeah, I think it’s just a fun week in general. It was great to pair up with Chris. He kind of took a lot of the pressure off being able to hit a lot of the shots first that maybe I wasn’t comfortable with. We had a lot of fun. We were kind of just joking around and having a good time the whole time, so great way to finish the season.
CHRIS GOTTERUP: Yeah, like she said, we had a good time out there. Honestly, she said I took the pressure off her. I felt the same way. Yeah, it’s fun watching her play. She hits every fairway and pretty much every green out there. It’s fun. We don’t get to do this very often so it’s a nice change of pace for the week.
Q. Is there anything in particular maybe you guys took away from each other this week?
JENNIFER KUPCHO: I think like he’s so chill and relaxed and just has fun, way more than I ever do, so maybe I should do that more often because I play way better that way for sure.
CHRIS GOTTERUP: Yeah, I try to watch and everyone I play with, I try to watch and see what they do. Just watching how she goes about playing and how consistent she is, it’s fun to watch and something I’m striving for.
Q. And last one, obviously the last event for ’25, what are you going to do heading into the offseason to get ready for ’26?
JENNIFER KUPCHO: I’m going to do a whole lot of nothing. I will be on the couch for the next week.
No, I’m very excited for some time off. Quite a bit of time off compared to normal, I think. I’m excited to take pretty much the rest of the year off and then get back to where I need to be in the new year.
CHRIS GOTTERUP: Yeah, I feel like I already had my offseason. I haven’t played much since East Lake. These last two weeks have been good to kind of kick it into gear and see what I need to work on.
Yeah, it was a nice two weeks, and this week was great. Nice to kind of be under the gun again today a little bit and know what I’ve got to work on coming into the next year.
