VICTORIES: Collectively, this year’s field has a combined 137 LPGA and PGA TOUR career victories, with nine of those wins occurring this season.

MAJOR CHAMPIONS: There are ten major champions in the field, including one major winner from the 2025 LPGA Tour season—Maja Stark.

SUCCESS AT TIBURÓN: Past champions of the Grant Thornton Invitational are Lydia Ko/Jason Day (2023) and defending champions Patty Tavatanakit/Jake Knapp. Other winners at Tiburón include Tom Hoge, Charley Hull and Lexi Thompson.

NEW TEAMS: There are 12 new teams competing this year: Lilia Vu/Tony Finau, Nelly Korda/Denny McCarthy, Jessica Korda/Bud Cauley, Charley Hull/Daniel Berger, Megan Khang/Keith Mitchell, Lauren Coughlin/Andrew Novak, Lottie Woad/Luke Clanton, Lexi Thompson/Wyndham Clark, Jennifer Kupcho/Chris Gotterup, Rose Zhang/Michael Kim, Angel Yin/Tom Hoge, Maja Stark/Neal Shipley.

REPEAT TEAMS: Four teams in the competition will once again join forces. Lydia Ko/Jason Day will be paired for the third straight year as will Brooke Henderson/Corey Conners. Andrea Lee/Billy Horschel are a team for the second time and Patty Tavatanakit/Jake Knapp defend their title as a team for the second time.

TOP TEN LEADERS: Two teams have finished among the top ten in the first two years of the Grant Thornton Invitational. Lydia Ko/Jason Day won in 2023 and were sixth in 2024. Canadians Brooke Henderson/Corey Conners finished second in 2023 and fourth last year.

INTERNATIONAL TEAMS: There are two teams comprised of international players. Brooke Henderson and Corey Conners are both from Canada; Lydia Ko and Jason Day are from New Zealand and Australia, respectively. 

INTERNATIONAL FLAVOR: There are seven different countries represented in the field—Australia, Canada, England, New Zealand, Sweden, Thailand, United States.

RACE TO CME GLOBE AND FEDEXCUP RANKINGS: Ten players in the field finished among the top 30 in each Tour’s season-long standings. LPGA: Nelly Korda (#5), Charley Hull (#14), Angel Yin (#17), Jennifer Kupcho (#20), Andrea Lee (#23), Lydia Ko (#26), Brooke Henderson (#27). PGA TOUR: Corey Connors (T4), Chris Gotterup (T10), Andrew Novak (T25).

ROOKIE TEAMS: Lottie Woad/Luke Clanton are both new to the competition. The youngest team in the field, Woad, 21, and Clanton, 21, were college teammates at Florida State University. Jessica Korda/Bud Cauley are also both rookies here.
